- Independent Research – Each nominee is assessed on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The indicators include verdicts/settlements, experience, awards/honors, certifications/special licenses, bar and/or professional activity, education and employment background, etc.
- Peer Evaluation – Nominees with the highest point totals from the preceding two steps will serve on the “Blue Ribbon Panel.” The members of this panel must evaluate all candidates within their main practice area.
- Final Selection – In the end, only 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state are selected to the Rising Stars list.
