Individuals who are detained by immigration can also be housed at other facilities in Pennsylvania. Their hearings are generally heard by the Baltimore and Philadelphia Immigration Courts.

To find out if an individual has an upcoming hearing, you can call the Alien Number Hotline at 1-800-898-7180. You will need the individual’s “A” number.

This number is printed on all paperwork issued by the government regarding immigration and can also be found on bracelets worn by detainees.

The Philadelphia Immigration Court is located at the Robert Nix Federal Building, and Courthouse is located at 900 Market Street, Suite 504, Philadelphia, PA 19107. All visitors to the court must have a valid form of ID. The phone number is 215-717-2400.
The Baltimore Immigration Court is located at the George Fallon Federal Building, 31 Hopkins Plaza, Rm. 440, Baltimore, MD 21201. The phone number is 410-962-3092.
Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) The York office is located at 1605 Clugston Road, York, PA 17404. It can be reached at (717) 767-2300. The Philadelphia office is located at 114 N 18th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107. The phone number is (215) 656-7164.
Elizabeth Immigration Court is located at 625 Evans Street, Room 148A, Elizabeth, NJ 07201 and can be reached at 908-787-1355.

An “A” number is a 9-digit number assigned to non-citizens in the United States by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). If the person detained did not have an A number prior to detention, one will be issued when they are processed into the detention center. This number is printed on all paperwork issued by the government regarding immigration and can also be found on bracelets worn by detainees.
