Widener Law Commonwealth Spotlights Rosina C. Stambaugh as a 2025 Super Lawyers “Rising Star”

Latest News

We are delighted to announce that our founder, Rosina C. Stambaugh, was recently profiled by her alma mater, Widener University Commonwealth Law School, in an article recognizing alumni who earned places on the 2025 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists. The feature, published on July 16, 2025 and titled “Widener Law Commonwealth Alumni Named to 2025 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars Lists,” highlights Rosina’s continued commitment to ethical, client-focused immigration advocacy.

Why This Recognition Matters

Super Lawyers employs a rigorous, multi-phase selection process that identifies just five percent of attorneys statewide, while the Rising Stars designation—reserved for lawyers under 40 or in practice fewer than ten years—honors only 2.5 percent. Rosina has appeared on the Pennsylvania Rising Stars list every year since 2019, underscoring her sustained excellence and leadership in immigration and crimmigration law.

A Story Rooted in Empathy and Integrity

In the Widener profile, Rosina—herself a first-generation American—reflected on pivotal experiences that shaped her passion for immigrants’ rights: working with the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center during law school and clerking for the York Immigration Court. Those encounters, she explains, revealed “how powerful legal advocacy could be” for families facing daunting odds.

Rosina also emphasized an unwavering commitment to honesty:

“I’m not just focused on winning cases—I’m focused on doing right by the people I serve and the profession I represent.”

That philosophy guides every matter our firm undertakes, from complex deportation defense to family-based petitions and humanitarian relief.

Leadership Beyond the Courtroom

The article notes Rosina’s extensive pro bono work and her current role as Vice Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Immigration Law Committee, positions that allow her to shape policy and mentor emerging lawyers. She urges young attorneys to seek experiences that “challenge you and stretch your perspective,” advice born of her own journey from law student to nationally recognized advocate.
