She also was responsible for handling a variety of criminal cases, many of which included complex immigration issues. She is also a member of several professional organizations such as the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA), the PBA Immigration Law Committee, the York County Bar Association (YCBA), and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (PACDL).

Education History & Experience

In addition to representing individuals in the criminal justice system, Rosina also focuses her practice on consulting and advising criminal defense attorneys in obtaining safe pleas for clients to avoid or minimize the immigration consequences of certain criminal convictions. Rosina has also successfully litigated sentence modifications and Post Conviction Relief applications (PCRAs) dealing with ineffective assistance of counsel for failing to advise defendants of the immigration consequences of their criminal pleas.

Rosina is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of York College of Pennsylvania where she received a B.A. in Political Science. She graduated from Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she received her Juris Doctorate degree. Rosina was the recipient of the Nancy & Howard Finkelman Scholarship, awarded to a deserving, advanced-standing, and extended-division students who have demonstrated scholastic excellence in the area of trial advocacy.

Rosina is currently the Vice Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Immigration Committee and is also on the Board of Directors for the York County Bar Association. She is also a Member of the PBA Unlawful Practice of Law (UPL) Committee.

Proven Work History & Success

While attending Widener, Rosina worked full time at the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center (PIRC) as a legal secretary and a Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) Accredited Representative. At PIRC, she worked with the detained immigration population at the York County Prison.

As a law student and BIA Accredited Representative, Rosina represented several immigrants going through removal proceedings at the York Immigration Court. In addition to working for PIRC, Rosina was a legal volunteer intern at the York Immigration Court where she provided legal research and writing assistance to the Immigration Judges.
